Please Donate to the Student Victim Fund
Teachers are assaulting students at record numbers. Many of these convicted teachers are either sentenced to No Jail time or very little jail time. Even Teachers merely accused of sexual assault are retaining their positions.
Mission of the Student Victim Fund
Unfortunately, there is no legal requirement for schools or courts to help the students that were victimized. Oftentimes, students who were traumatized or victimized must hire expensive attorneys or either just settle for being a victim.
The mission of this fund is to raise funds for victims, raise awareness of this crisis, and reward students, and parents, and others, who help expose teacher predators. Students and parents should be empowered to Take Back the Classroom!
Scholarships for Single Dads: Why single dad scholarships matter
Scholarships for Single Dads
Scholarships for Single Dads: Why single dad scholarships matter. More scholarship sponsors are witnessing the need to address the dire predicament of single dads seeking and needing scholarship funds.
Statistics report that there an estimated 82.8 million mothers in the U.S.A. The majority of dads, at least 55%, are between the ages of 15-44 years old. For single dads, who are supporting a child, and desiring some form of scholarships, grants, and financial-aid, that objective can seem all but practically impossible. For single mothers on welfare, their eligibility for traditional student loans may adversely affect their receipt of welfare assistance because the government considers any loan as income. Wow!
Scholarships for Single Dads and Single Parents
Single dads seeking a college education face a double-edged sword. They are often saddled with unpredictable child support payments, or few recieve child support payments from their spouses. The average child support payments received by single dads is often too little to contribute to meaningful education or certificate programs, let alone a full-fledged college education.
The strict rules of the government prevents single dads from receiving traditional student loans, or FAFSA support. What, therefore, is a single dad who is clearly needing and seeking scholarships, grants, and financial-aid supposed to do? Answer: We support and sponsor scholarships for single dads, as well as married dads, because we believe that by helping single dads we are also helping the educational needs of their children.
A happy single dad often produces a happy child. At the same time, we should not condone brazen behavior that includes reckless social attitudes that sometimes leads to young men and dads being involved in immature relationships with irresponsible partners. For example, a Houston-area dad fatally shot a teenage boy he found in his daughter's bedroom in March 2014. Detectives say the dad's 16-year-old daughter let the 17-year-old boy into her family's home in Spring, Texas, and sneaked him into her bedroom.
When her dad walked in and questioned who the boy was, she said she didn't know. The dad was not charged with a crime, but he will need financial-aid, scholarships, or even grants for the bills that certainly follow this unfortunate episode.
