NWAC to become an accreditation division with AdvancED
« on: September 29, 2011, 03:15:57 PM »

The NWAC Commission approved to "develop a plan, including the drafting of and and all necessary legal documents and agreements, to transition NWAC to become an accreditation division with AdvancED."  It is anticipated that  NWAC will officially become a division of AdvancED effective July 1, 2012.

This arrangement is very suspicious.  Why would AdvancedED desire to be associated with an organization with the track record of David Steadman?? Is Advanced ED going to pay the for the past infrngement of the NAAS mark by David Steadman?

This arrangement is nothing more than a cheap attempt to bring credibility to phony, illegitimate, and illegally accredited schools.  National Academy of American Scholars will continue to label ALL schools, and institutions that were illegally accredited by David Steadman as Diploma Mills.

If Northwest Accreditation Commission wants to be considered legitimate then the organization needs to pay its legal debts, and reimburse National Academy of American Scholars for its past infringement, theft, and consumer fraud it committed by marketing illegal 'NAAS' accreditation programs.

We consider AdvancedED as little more than a getaway driver for Northwest Accreditation Commission.

We encourage forum members to voice their opinion about this suspicious union.  Legitimate accreditation agencies do not use  trademark-infringement and theft to recruit schools

The Idaho State Dept of Education is suspected of serious ethical lapses, to put it mildly.  More directly: many Idaho residents distrust the agency and believe it is a cash box for David Steadman.
