Merit-Based Scholarship Types sponsored by National Academy of American Scholars
In 1988, we sponsored our first scholarship programs for high-school students seeking scholarships, grants, and financial-aid. Since that time, we have expanded our scholarship programs to include graduate students, vocational students, and all students seeking scholarships, grants, and financial-aid. Grants are probably the least understood of financial-aid resources. Federal grants do NOT have to repaid back, unlike private or federal sources of student loans. Pell-Grants and Financial-aid should be an option for any mom, single mother, or woman to consider when researching various sources of financial-aid.
