New Hampshire is a state in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. The state was named after the southern English county of Hampshire. It is bordered by Massachusetts to the south, Vermont to the west, Maine and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Canadian province of Quebec to the north. New Hampshire is the 5th smallest and the 9th least populous of the 50 United states.

- New Hampshire Scholarship Applicant must be a high-school senior and attend one of the high-schools located in the state of New Hampshire;
- New Hampshire Scholarship Applicant must have a G.P.A. of at least 2.0 at the time of completing the New Hampshire scholarship application;
- New Hampshire Scholarship Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, and New Hampshire resident at the time of completing the New Hampshire scholarship application;
- New Hampshire Scholarship Applicant must register his/her name and email address, and scholarship preference with National Academy of American Scholars;
- New Hampshire Scholarship Applicant must write an essay in 500 words or less why he/she believes that as an New Hampshire resident, how winning the New Hampshire scholarship will benefit the state of New Hampshire.
