Unclaimed Virgin Islands Scholarships (VI Scholarships)


Approved Scholarships and Grants, and Educational Courses

The U.S. Virgin Islands is one of five inhabited insular areas of the United States, along with American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico. The territory comprises St. Croix, St. John, St. Thomas and Water Island. The Virgin Passage separates the U.S. Virgin Islands from the Spanish Virgin Islands of Vieques and Culebra, which are part of Puerto Rico.   1. Virgin Islands Scholarship Applicant must be a high-school senior and attend one of the high-schools located in the state of Virgin Islands;
  2. Virgin Islands Scholarship Applicant must have a G.P.A. of at least 2.0 at the time of completing the Virgin Islands scholarship application;
  3. Virgin Islands Scholarship Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, and Virgin Islands resident at the time of completing the Virgin Islands scholarship application;
  4. Virgin Islands Scholarship Applicant must register his/her name and email address, and scholarship preference with National Academy of American Scholars;
  5. Virgin Islands Scholarship Applicant must write an essay in 500 words or less why he/she believes that as an Virgin Islands resident, how winning the Virgin Islands scholarship will benefit the state of Virgin Islands.
